IRZ TMS-ORD4 integrated downhole monitoring system for dual completion

IRZ TMS-ORD4 integrated system has been designed in collaboration with OOO “NPF Paker” and is intended for dual completion wells equipped with one ESP. It allows leak-proof separation or restriction of one of the reservoirs without shutdown of the motor.

The system enables to

  • define reservoir flow rates: main reservoir – according to the Group Metering Unit, reservoir to be separated – by means of span adjustment
  • take pressure buildup curve of each reservoir individually
  • measure pressures of each reservoir individually
  • determine water cut percent of the formations: main reservoir – by means of sampling, reservoir to be separated – by means of span adjustment

System includes

  • BP-103DI downhole unit with motor bearing support
  • KPUE-102 electric valve
  • modified variable speed drive IRZ-512-18-400-ORD4 or ASPT stand-alone ground acquisition unit
  • packer equipment, the type is according to the well
  • commissioning
  • maintenance services

Advantages of IRZ TMS-ORD4 integrated downhole monitoring system for dual completion

  • no need for a logging cable from the well-head and for supplementary surface equipment, the valve is controlled via the dh sensor system unit
  • no logging cable for connection of the motor and electric valve, flange coupling is used
  • the electric valve is controlled via the control station user menu without motor shutdown
  • electric valve data is recorded in the master file of the control station and displayed in the communication program together with critical real-time parameters

Well selection criteria

  • distance between reservoirs is not less than 4 m
  • outer diameter of casing is above 140 mm
  • production method is ESP
  • produced fluid temperature is up to 100 °C
  • flow rate of reservoir to be separated is up to 30% of the total flow rate of two reservoirs

The permanent downhole gauges of IRZ are designed to monitor realtime parameters of a rod-pump/ PCP system or a gas lift/ flowing well: tubing & annulus pressure, annulus temperature, and tubing X, Y, Z-axis vibrations.
